I navigate the world through narratives and portraits of people—fragments that reshape how I see things. Sometimes it’s the quiet audacity of an 18-year-old creating Switzerland’s first humanoid robot; at others, it’s the bold vision of an Italian literature professor reinventing herself as a fashion designer at fifty.

These stories of others is what ultimately teach us how to see ourselves—by reflecting hopes we once held, fears we now recognize, and possibilities we had not imagined. They are mirrors and maps: mirrors that reveal our hidden contours, and maps that guide our steps when our own path is unclear.
